Sometimes in healing work old wounds from childhood come up. They can manifest as deep self-hatred, depression, self-criticism, anger and trauma memories. Sometimes they may appear as externalised criticism to loved ones around us. We may have addiction issues that try to soothe old pains and memories. We may be very difficult to be around and we may find it difficult maintaining positive relationships.
Patterns in the configurations and family karma may come up in counselling and coaching work that affect self-esteem, confidence and goal-setting.
These two meditations below are done in tandem with counselling work in the therapy room.
It is important to only use these meditations if you have been guided to do so from our therapy work together.
Make sure you are in a comfortable and safe place to do this work. You should be around people you trust and have a therapist or healer who can help you work through this process. I am a trained and experienced trauma therapist so always advise you to only do this if you know you will be able to manage difficult memories and feelings. If you do need to contact someone you can contact the Samaritans UK who are available 24/7 and are trained professionals:

Inner Child Meditation 1 – Introducing the Earth Mother-Sky Father
The first meditation introduces us to the earth mother and sky father figures – these are stabilising energies for any wound work. Then we identify the wounds being held in the body or the mind and visualise releasing them to the earth mother and sky father to heal and integrate into the universe. It ends with healing affirmations.
Inner Child Meditation 2 – Meeting the Inner Child
The second meditation then provides a space for you to meet the inner child and do some healing work between you both. They may have some advice or guidance to offer you and you may have something you want to pass onto them. It is done in the company of the earth mother and sky father where you both receive a healing.
