What information we collect
We collect personal information when you:
- Fill in the contact or booking forms on this site (name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in the message field)
- Subscribe to email updates via our newsletter sign-up
- Leave a comment on a blog post (name, email address, and website if provided)
- Browse the site (via cookies and analytics – see our Cookie Policy for details)
If you go on to become a client, further personal and sensitive information (including special category health data, such as details relevant to therapy) is collected and held separately as part of clinical practice, under the confidentiality and record-keeping standards of our professional bodies. This website does not itself store therapy notes.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Respond to enquiries and arrange appointments
- Send you email updates, if you’ve subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it (via Google Analytics)
- Meet our legal and professional obligations
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. It may be shared with:
- Google Analytics – for anonymised website traffic statistics (Google’s privacy policy)
- Our email newsletter provider – to send subscriber updates
- Our website hosting and email providers – to operate the site and respond to enquiries
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, they rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to you, or as required for professional record-keeping if you become a client. Newsletter subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to our professional record-keeping obligations)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from emails) at any time
